Andy Young has designed the classes at Evolution based on over 30 years in martial arts, reality based systems, and fitness conditioning for adults and children. Scroll down to view a brief overview of the classes we offer.

Muay Thai Boxing


Muay Thai is considered the most useful of all the striking arts. An amazing full body and cardiovascular workout, it is referred to as "The Science of Eight Limbs", as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively. As such in addition to a very effective weight loss activity, it is also considered a highly devastating method of self-defense.

Each class involves a warm up, technical training and pad work and is always completed with ab work and body strengthening. This class is a high energy, intense work out, for all levels of ability ranging from the newest member to those that are professional fighters.

Brazilian JiuJitsu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the ultimate grappling style for street self-defence, sport and fitness that combines a variety of techniques including joint manipulation, take downs, choke holds, hold downs, and technical positions. This strategic, fun, total-body workout will give you the skills to disarm larger opponents or even aggressive attackers. Mixing a great mental workout (strategy) with a great physical workout (total body) grappling is often compared to physical chess.

BJJ emphasizes fluid movements with a sinuous, relentless hunt for submissions and is one of the fundamental components of mixed martial arts and it’s popularity is exploding around the world.

Kombat Kids


Kombat Kids Program is for ages 4 to 6, our program will teach the basic building blocks of karate including a variety of martial arts such as, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Muay Thai, kickboxing and wrestling.

We do this in a fun environment, focusing on classroom behaviour, self-discipline, balance and coordination. After graduating from kombat kids your children will go on to the Belt Program for ages 6 to 13 (providing a foundation of self defence and karate techniques that will develop life skills that last a lifetime), we have a program to fit your children's needs.

Kombat Kids Classes:
Tuesday: 5:30-6:00 and 6:00-6:30

Kids Karate


Our specially structured martial arts programs are designed to develop and strengthen qualities children need in today's society. Qualities such as self confidence and self esteem are generally accepted as fundamental to the healthy emotional and mental development of children. Our classes help your child develop physical skills, including coordination, balance, flexibility and self defence. It is documented that these skills have a direct positive effect on a child's self esteem, mental development and academic performance. Studies show that parents perceive a large increase in self confidence, self worth or self esteem as the most obvious benefit of karate training. Let Evolution Fight-Fitness Club motivate and educate your children through goal oriented development programs.

Kids MMA


By far the best and most realistic self-defense program available for children and teens (5 - 14).

Develops true self-confidence, focusing on self-discipline, character, strength, balance, patience, self-control, respect, agility, reflexes, social skills and leadership.

The best striking techniques from Muay Thai, Kick Boxing, Boxing, Tae Kwon Do and Karate fused with Olympic wrestling and grappling techniques from Brazilian JiuJitsu which enables your child to become a well-rounded martial artist.

Adults Karate


Andy Young has developed a unique Adult karate program that blends the benefits of traditional martial arts with modern fitness and self-defence techniques. Students of all ages will discover the ultimate workout for the body and mind. Adults who start our karate classes quickly see improvements in strength, stamina, flexibility, coordination and overall physical condition. Our classes are designed to give you an excellent cardiovascular workout, which allows you to strengthen the heart and burn calories. This gives you the benefit of exercising with a purpose!

Along with these physical benefits, our students notice improved concentration skills, stress reduction, increased self confidence, self discipline, and a peace of mind that comes from the ability to protect yourself and your family. Cardio Thai Boxing


Our Cardio Thai Boxing Program not only offers you a total body workout but it also teaches you how to punch and kick properly for self defence. Look at all the benefits that our Cardio Thai Boxing Program offers:

Sparring


Sparring and open mats times are listed in the schedule. During these times, students may practice their fighting techniques in the ring, cage, or on the mat.

Proper protective equipment is required.
